BatteryPlus updated to version 2.2, 50% off for a limited time

BatteryPlus v 2.2

Last month, I reviewed the BatteryPlus application which gives users a more detailed look at their battery life. When I say battery life, I mean not just only the current power, but its recharge/discharge history and temperature. This application will even tell you the estimated standby time and talk time; something that we may take a gamble on with a low battery. It will report on practically anything; just short of its hopes and dreams. You can also set BatteryPlus to activate or deactivate WiFi, LED and an audible alert when the power hits a specific threshold. BatteryPlus makes it easy to boost and monitor your battery life, until you can make your way to a charger. Recently, BatteryPlus was updated to version 2.2 with the following new features and improvements:

Updated to a much more polished Main ScreenAdded a convenient gear-like button on Main Screen for users to set
options under Boost Option screenAdded a battery log graphic button on Main Screen for uses to check
battery log view

Promotion:To go along with this update to BatteryPlus, enter in the promocode CRACKBERRY201109 to get BatteryPlus for 50% off the regular price (making it $4.99). Offer expires September 25th at midnight PST. Please note: This code will only work in the mobile app store or mobile app store client from your device.

BBM Music v1.0.0.93 now available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone

BBM Music

If you’re taking part in the BBM Music beta, you should be getting an email shortly, if you haven’t already letting you know that BBM Music v1.0.0.93 is now available for download. The list of changes for this release is rather short but the list of known issues is rather large — so at least RIM is letting you know what to look out for.

What’s New?

Stop button in media playerBuy button now checks for available music store if none is installedImproved performance: limit is raised to 200 contacts!!Many various bug fixes

Known Issues

Missing focus – can’t enter charactersCan’t enter any characters or delete on the search text field when the focus is on ‘Shuffle’ in All SongsDevice in preview mode (blocked state customers will see on first install before entering payment info) can not add contact’s songs to custom playlistsDuplicate comments in timelineBBM music unable to connect to BBMLong delay while adding song to playlistClicking email invitation URL does not launch BBM MusicAfter a song is added to My Songs, a short clip plays instead of full songsFrequently unable to preview song over GPRS or EDGETakes too long to save playlist infoBuilt-In Memory option is shown for a device that does not have built-in memoryScreen overlap while refreshing’Can I Get A..’ by Jay-Z Does not have explicit content labelGet an incorrect error message on second try of BBM inviteCurrently keeps messages of removed BBM Music contacts[Other] Input system error for filtering songs in a playlist on Stratus as well as any device using the virtual keyboard

The update is available now for most users, if you’re not seeing it as of yet, then it’ll be updated shortly so just sit tight and make sure when using it, you file feeback on any issues that arise — given that it is a beta, RIM will need to be aware of the issues before they can ever be correct.
